Meet the Team

Owner, Luthier

I began playing guitar at the age of 12, learning and playing mostly classic rock and hard rock. After playing in several bands in high school, and purchasing a cheap 8-track recorder, I decided I wanted to pursue a job in the field of recording. I moved to Hollywood, California and enrolled in the RIT program at The Musician’s Institute. After obtaining the glamorous position of "studio runner" at several famous LA studios, I remained in LA for a few years, before returning to Arizona to pursue other musical projects.  Fast forward many years... I began building furniture as a hobby and due to my passion for music, I was inspired to build my first custom guitar in 2014. After what seems like a very long couple of years, Roger and I are very pleased to bring you bel. Sonique guitars!

Partner, Media & Artist Relations

I just remember at a very young age, my mom putting on Iron Butterfly’s Heavy record and just staring at the back of the album. After that experience I was always intrigued, challenged, and inspired to play music. While living in Southern California, at the age of 15 years old, I taught myself to play guitar and immersed myself in a lot of music.  As the years went on I had started a few bands, wrote songs, recorded a few albums & LPs, played live shows, and have gotten to play with many types of musicians. When Ian had built two guitars, I was really blown away by the craftsmanship and playability of the builds. Since then I've been inthralled with the vision and integrity of what bel.Sonique has to offer to the many type of talented players out there.
